The Beginning Of My Reiki Journey

I have always been interested in spirituality and my life's path has bought me to Reiki the ancient healing therapy of placing hands and allowing life energy to pass through me to my client. I think that 'Heal' is a strong word to use and can be taken out of context in this very uneducated world that we live in but this is what can happen if the clients body requires it. Besides the healing qualities of Reiki it can help with stress and tiredness as well as other minor ailments and I will go in to more detail as my experiences emerge.

This is my Reiki journey and I hope you enjoy my experiences and blogs in the coming days, months and years.

Yesterday (Tuesday 26th July 2011) I was attuned to level one Usui Reiki and without a doubt it was a life changing experience. There were four of us in the group and we meditated for a while before we where attuned individually. Its difficult to explain the feelings and thoughts that I experienced during this ceremony and I will try to give you an idea. The meditation put us in to a calm state of consciousness and as soon as the attunement began I could feel the life force energy rushing through my body. My eyes where closed and we where in a room that was in twilight and all I could see was bright white light interspersed with gold and as the attunement continued I could feel the changes throughout my body and a feeling of love and calmness in between the crazy tides of energy. My hands where and still are warm to touch and my cheeks are still flush something my wife acknowledged last night. It is so hard to explain something that you can't specifically see and I know that the doubters and piss takers will never understand or know what this feeling is like unless they have a reiki session and be open and willing to recieve the energy. I do not intend to ram my new found knowledge down my friends and family's throats because those that want to know or experience it will in time either read up on the subject or talk to me and arrange a Reiki Therapy.

For the next 21 days I will be self healing and blogging my feelings and thoughts as well as trying out my new found skills on friends and family that are open to this alternative therapy. Please feel free to comment.
